Operational Excellence - Why do some multi-unit managers achieve it more consistently than others?

At Mastering Multi-Units (MMU), we believe that the road to operational excellence is paved with discipline and consistency.  Operational excellence certainly requires a dedicated commitment to delivering on the basics, day-in, day-out, in order to ensure that the ‘small things’ are always right.

But to be on the right road means first knowing where we want to get to. It demands candour and acceptance of the reality that we get the the level of excellence that we accept. When it comes to managing issues of performance that centre around the delivery of operational excellence, we’ve never yet met a manager who regrets dealing with poor performance. What they do regret is not dealing with it sooner.
